Balu is scratching his back with a palm tree.

The panther doesn’t understand Balu and the boy.

Balu and the boy are floating on the water.

Look for the bare necessities
the simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities,
Old Mother Nature's recipes
That brings the bare necessities of life

Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn't be fonder of my big home
The ……………..are buzzin' in the tree
To make some honey just for me
When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at the fancy ………………
Then maybe try a few

The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!

Look for the bare necessities, The simple bare necessities

Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
That's why a ……………..can rest at ease,
with just the bare necessities of life

Now when you pick a ……………………
Or a prickly ………………….
And you prick a raw paw
Next time beware
Don't pick the prickly …………… by the paw
When you pick a …………………
Try to use the claw
But you don't need to use the claw
When you pick a ……………….. of the big …………………
Have I given you a clue?

The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!

So just try and relax, yeah cool it
Fall apart in my backyard
'Cause let me tell you something little britches
If you act like that ……………acts, uh uh
You're working too hard

And don't spend your time lookin' around
For something you want that can't be found
When you find out you can live without it
And go along not thinkin' about it
I'll tell you something true

The bare necessities of life will come to you.

Tom's diner

I am sitting
In the morning
At the diner
On the corner
I am waiting
At the counter
For the man
To pour the coffee

And he fills it
Only halfway
And before
I even argue
He is looking
Out the window
At somebody
Coming in

It is always
Nice to see you
Says the man
Behind the counter
To the woman
Who has come in
She is shaking
Her umbrella

And I look
The other way
As they are kissing
Their hellos
And I'm pretending
Not to see them
And Instead
I pour the milk

I open
Up the paper
There's a story
Of an actor
Who had died
While he was drinking
He was no one
I had heard of

And I'm turning
To the horoscope
And looking
For the funnies
When I'm feeling
Someone watching me
And so
I raise my head

There's a woman
On the outside
Looking inside
Does she see me?
No she does not
Really see me
'Cause she sees
Her own reflection

And I'm trying
Not to notice
That she's hitching
Up her skirt
And while she's
Straightening her stockings
Her hair
Is getting wet

Oh, this rain
It will continue
Through the morning
As I'm listening
To the bells
Of the cathedral
I am thinking
Of your voice

And of the midnight picnic
Once upon a time
Before the rain began

And I finish up my coffee
And it's time to catch the train
